Beautiful "guest house".They prefer to be called that instead of a hotel. The service is excellent, the manor is tastefully updated with original artwork both inside and in the lovely garden area. The rooms are very large and so is the bathroom. I could stretch my arms out to the sides in the shower it was so large. I would definitely recommend this guest house to anyone staying in this vibrant city.

This was a delightful B&B. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Room was enormous. The bathroom was bigger than some of the hotel rooms we have stayed in, with a large bath in which to luxuriate. We also enjoyed the town. Very relaxed and with many dining options to choose from. An ideal place as a base to explore the Loire Valley and it's many Chateaus. Our host Sylvie was a delight. Delphine was a really lovely hostess. Very genuine and easy going. Fantastic location if a quiet retreat is what you are after. A car is a must. Room was immaculate with beautiful furniture and the bathroom was fabulous. Fantastic pool to relax by surrounded by lovely gardens, birdsong, a donkey and a horse...and of course the resident doggy! -

The women conscierges were wonderful, allowing us to relax in France andpractice our flawed French. We were able to picnic poolside after hours,just relax in a beautiful house. We had many requests for extra towels,ashtray for cigars, directions, etc, and each was met with a smile. Wewould love to return. We also traveled with a 13 yr old daughter,

Ambroise is a lovely town and is a great place to stay and take day trips to the area's many chateaux, and the chateaux at Amboise itself is lovely. If I were to go back again, I'd want to stay again at Le Manois Saint Thomas. I recommend it highly!

Our stay here was absolutely wonderful from the moment we arrived. It was such a unique experience to stay in a cave which was so comfortable and had a beautifully renovated bathroom. I cannot praise this hotel highly enough. The staff were courteous, friendly and helpful, the room well appointed if a bit on the small side, the hotel itself charming, and the food, though a trifle expensive, was amazing and beautifully served. The staff were attentive, friendly, helpful and spoke excellent english. Unfortunately I only had time to have 1 dinner at the restaurant and it was magnificent - worthy of the visit by itself. The breakfasts were sumptuous too, especially the option of a cooked breakfast rather than the staples of bread, meats and cheese.

We loved the ambience and the tranquility, this is not a cheap hotel, but it was special. The staff were very attentive, the dinner was fantastic. The food was well prepared and the quality was excellent.

We were here for two nights with our two young children in an adjoining suite of rooms (Margaux et Jules). We booked at the last moment in a hurry... we didn't check the reviews or anything we just went for it. Driving there we went up the wrong road and our hearts dropped thinking it was going to be a crummy place based on the lay of the land. Once we got back on track the main road faded away to a long driveway to a perfect chateau experience. Its been really well renovated. Rooms are expansive with beautiful views. The location is very central. The hotel room was very quiet, with a tranquil view. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom nicely fitted. The hosts were pleasant and helpful, and responded to my requests very effectively. The public parking was just across the street.

Hotel by itself is a three story converted town house with high ceilings and modern design. We had a view on ancient Rue Voltaire from our window; it's not far from St. Gatien Cathedral; they have breakfast in the morning; everything is crispy clean and all the guests were very quiet, so if you're looking for a place to relax this should be your choice

We loved the marvellous staff who were fun and very helpful. The hotel was attractive and stylishly decorated and the room was charming. There is a delightful garden area and the meals at the restaurant were exceptional as was obvious from the locals who also were dining there. We had such a good time and would love to go back.
