  Great location to serve as a base to explore the Loire Valley. It's not a hotel, but rather a big guest house with a few comfortable, clean and pleasant rooms. Calm and silent location, perfect for a restful night. The breakfast was great, with good and fresh traditional french ingredients.   My husband and I stayed here for two nights in September and it was one of the highlights of our 3 week trip in France. The suite was large and comfortable with a separate bedroom, bathroom, and living room. There was a lovely terrace with a view of the surrounding forest where one could dine if the weather permits. Perfect combination of the old with all the modern - A genuine Loire valley castle with tower, caves and everything there is to it. The host couple, Jean-Francois and Diana, are extremely friendly and helpful and will go out of their way to keep you happy. The chateau has it’s medieval atmosphere but the guest apartment has all the modernity you can expect. The guest apartment has one good sized living room, a large bedroom with a very romantically decorated bed and a very unique bathroom, designed by an architect in a maritime theme making you r
