Located in the medieval city of Montrichard, Chateau des Tourelles was originally a 13th-century watchtower, converted to a chateau in the 18th century. An organic breakfast is served daily. You may also enjoy other meals prepared by the hosts on request, featuring local and organic products. Free private parking is possible on site. My husband and I stayed here for two nights in September and it was one of the highlights of our 3 week trip in France. The suite was large and comfortable with a separate bedroom, bathroom, and living room. There was a lovely terrace with a view of the surrounding forest where one could dine if the weather permits. The bed was extremely comfortable, and this along with the quietness of the chateau ensured sleeping well and waking up refreshed. Perfect combination of the old with all the modern.
