  Although the room was small the way it was furnished for what I paid far exceeded my expectations! Lovely and comfortable with everything you could possibly need (some complimentary soap and shampoo would be nice but for what I paid not expected). Can't recommend this place enough and if I come back to South Shields this will certa - The staff were very kind and friendly. They were interested in our visit and made us feel very welcome. The room was spotless and a reasonable size. The location was excellent and as we went out on a night it was not far to walk back and we was near a wide range of food outlets. It was very modern and the bathroom facilities were most pleasing.

Needed to stay longer to really enjoy stay as 2 nights were not enough. Owner very helpful and felt sorry for her that some guests had, inexcusably, caused some damage to the property.   Absolutely fantastic!! Will definitely be returning. Booked up with 3 other friends for a girls weekend and could not fault this hotel at all. Fantastic staff on reception who were always happy to advise where to go for a night out, 2 minute walk from the train station and within walking distance to bars and 'the gate'. They made the extra effort to offer additional info, maps etc. Location, just a few minutes walk behind the train station, but away from the noise of the centre.

  I loved everything about the guest house. The place smells lovely, beautifully designed, the room was tidy and clean, the towels smell nice and clean. The breakfast was beautiful, the proprietor was very helpful and friendly. Good location, easy access to shops, beach, train and bus station. Overall i give the hotel 10/10.
