  Superb location with hotel tucked into the side of a green hill overlooking the sea - very peaceful and serene ! All rooms are located at ground level (brilliant if stairs are a problem) and our room was very comfortable and well equipped. Staff were very friendly and always on hand to help. We stayed in a self catering room on this occasion and found it to have everything we needed for a wonderful stay.   The accommodation was very pleasant in the cottage room but i felt it wasn't very private, i also thought we had booked accommodation in the actual hotel and as i am waiting for a knee replacement the steps were difficult. The ales and the food in the pub (including the breakfasts) were absolutely fabulous! The room was super, really spacious and very clean and comfortable, excellent en suite too. A lovely spot to stay in and we would happily return and would highly recommend the pub to anyone intending to stop in that area.

The upstairs Boathouse restaurant has views across the cove and we had dinner watching the sun set. The food was wonderful, the staff were very friendly and efficient. The view and sound of the sea from our room. The location is brilliant for walking the coast path to beautiful bays, and only 15 minutes drive to Salcombe. The village of Hope Cove is really pretty and quiet, with a very small Post Office stores.

  The catering for the function we attended at the Hotel was really excellent. - Although we were only staying overnight the comfort, cleanliness and ambience of the hotel was great. We had a lovely evening meal and breakfast in a beautiful dining room - we would hope to come again.

The Belmont is spotless and the staff are excellent, can not do enough to be of service. - I came for a break-away from a stressful life. It was perfect for comfort, always interesting view from the warmth of the big lounges, and the easy access to the enchanting Town. And the numerous staff were so very discreet with their cheerful friendliness.
