I normally do not write reviews but after staying at Fernside I was determined to write one. It was the best B&B we ever stayed in. It was ever so clean, recently renovated. The owners, Nigel and Amanda were so friendly and welcomed us both with a pot of tea and homemade flap jack to die for. Nothing was too much trouble. They are new to the area but have embraced Brixham and familiarised themselves with the local history and offer wonderful advice for restaurants and bars.

If there was an option better than "excellent" I would have ticked that. What a wonderful place, amazing location, literally the most beautiful place I have ever stayed.
John and Barbra who run it are such a lovely sweet couple, so welcoming and helpful. From the moment we arrived all they wanted was for us to enjoy ourselves and relax.
Sleeping with the stream and wildlife being the only sound for miles was amazing, so tranquil. Waking up next to the stunning lake filled with beautiful fish -
A good friend and I had a lovely time staying at Lodge on the Lake, we wanted a relaxing girly weekend away and it was perfect. Barbara and John were fantastic hosts making us feel very welcome in their beautiful home. Everything from exploring in the woods to relaxing on the decking over the lake was fabulous. We will definitely return with our partners.

The owners Emma and Alistair are really lovely. They are most welcoming, helpful and kind. The setting is delightful.The breakfast was great, a range of very tasty choices.There are lots of interesting places to visit nearby, lots of charming walks and the town is most attractive.
