  Staff great : old fashioned hospitality and humour. A return to the UK of old; a 'local pub' with a welcome for folks from away. Food was absolutely excellent and worth the trip by itself. Rooms were immaculate. Graham and Terry, have created something with enormous appeal, - a return to 'hosts' of a previous almost forgotten age. We should recommend them, their staff, their kitchen and their facility to anyone - Both comfortable and cosy, rooms were clean, modern and toasty warm, necessary as it was a very cold weekend. All needs catered for. Breakfast very good. A bit out of the way but my family lived in the next village with no suitable accommodation so this fit the bill perfectly. Will definitely stay again.

  Booked the cottage and boy was I glad I did. Fantastic little place with superb gardens and all to myself. The meals in the restaurant were beyond reproach and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for a relaxing peaceful holiday and yet less than 10 miles from the A1. This is defiantly somewhere I will be revisiting .......... was die leute sagen » . soon - The hotel was excellent offering spacious and comfortable rooms in a very relaxing atmosphere. The food was amongst the best that I've tasted in any hotel or restaurant. The log fire in the lounge area only enhanced the experience of staying in a beautiful country hotel.
