  Hotel staff were lovely, always smiling and on the day of our departure offered to keep our luggage to one side so we could go and enjoy Edinburgh without having to drag our luggage around and collect it later! Walk in/rainfall shower was out of this world, easy to adjust the heat - The hotel had a unique and modern design, extremely friendly and helpful staff and nothing was too much trouble. We visted the adjoining restaurant 'STEAK' and although it was quite expensive the food and service was worth every penny. We stayed in the room Loch Rannoch which featured a comfy king sized bed, a large flat screen TV with Sky, modern bathroom with huge walk in shower and despite other reviews plently of hot water!   The place itself is only a ten min walk up leith walk to thw centre of town. The rooms are cosy and very clean. The shower is powerful which I love. Bed is very comfortable. There is free parking outside the door.   This hotel has impressed me: 1st, the host (Marion) makes you feel at home and gives you useful instructions and tips. Then, the room was spacious, confortable and clean. Plenty of details (plug adapter, kettler & cookies, sewing kit, hair dryer, cottons, body cream, ipod player ...). I will definately come back. - When we arrived the introduction/explanation of services etc was good with clear, simple explanation of what to do and where things were. The 'owners' were very welcoming. Brown's was very clean; there was good provision of every day items, teas, coffees and toiletries. Breakfast was also good with a good range of items. No critique at all.

  Schöne Bar, nettes Personal, ruhige Zimmer, Frühstück ganz ordentlich. - Absolutely wonderful place to stay!!! We came with a 4 month old, and they could not have been more accommodating! It was raining and they even lent us umbrellas for the day. The room was wonderful, clean and the staff were beyond nice.
