The Elder York Guest House is a lovely place to stay in Edinburgh! The location is excellent, walking distance to all attractions. There are road works going on, but these won't interrupt your stay and should be over soon. We were greeted on arrival in a friendly way and shown our very clean and spacious room, with bathroom ensuite. Our host offered an excellent recommendation for a pub for dinner. Everything! The location across from Waverley Train Station, the superb set-up of the apartment, the high-speed internet, NetFlix provided free of charge. This place is a gem. There is no cooker but a good quality built-in microwave. The bathroom was large and modern and the living/sleeping area was bigger than a standard hotel room.
