The apartment complex itself is very secure.
The bedroom was clean, bright and well set out given the limited space.
The bathroom, whilst also small had everything you need and unlike many higher rated accommodation I've stayed in hot water was available at all times and at a constant temp.
The staff were very friendly and helpful especially to the many foreign visitors there for the festival.

Great place in the middle of the centrum. Despite this, it's rather quiet and away from all the comotion from the Grassmarket. For us the location was splendid, eventhough we had a car. For this we were set up with a free parking spot close by.

The self-contained apartment was beautifully appointed with luxury facilities and attention to detail with all basic provisions e.g. coffee, tea, milk croissants The location was great with walking distance to the museum,art galleries, transport restaurants and the castle. 2) Location - There cant be a better hotel than this....superb ! Perfect location - closer to the station. However, you will surely need to take a cab from the Metro to the Hotel (if carrying heavy luggage) 2nd option would be to climb around 108 steps towards the hotel (from the metro station). Taxi would not cost more than 4 Pounds from the train station.

The apartment space was luxurious, comfortable, very well thought out and utilised - with modern open-plan living in mind, balcony with fold back door to seamlessly bring the outside space in, serviced to a high standard daily; friendly and very helpful staff. The people at Martins Guesthouse were very friendly and the breakfast was perfect. I had the small room with a tiny ensuite bathroom on the top floor, but I knew that beforehand and I do not need much space - so it was perfectly ok for me. Overall, I can absolutely recommend Martins Guesthouse. -
