I would recommend the Acor - Owners have taken care to maintain property to excellent standards. Rooms were clean, comfortable and comfortable and new shower and bathroom meant no irritating plumbing problems. Location is close (walking distance) to city centre yet in a very quiet tree lined cul de sac in a sllepy neighbourhood for a most peaceful stay. Breakfast excellently cooked to order and owner extremely helpful and hospitable.

  Judy is fabulous. Very warm, generous and welcoming. The room was small but perfectly formed with lovely aspect from the window. Amazing breakfast. A big plus also was the parking ticket of a favourable kind which meant we could park easily close by. The Welford is an easy stroll into the town centre and also the conference centre. We had a room on the street side of the first floor, with a very good bed. Parking opposite was free with a 24-hour license. Breakfast was complete and good. We had completed the "Special Requirements" part of the booking form regarding check in time and received a call from the Brasserie on the same day who were happy to help and accomodate our request. Great room - very spacious and comfortable. Even though there was music every evening it was not noisy. Fab menu and a buzzy atmosphere in the evening. Very attentive staff who were friendly and helpful. Best fruit salad as part of the breakfast that we have had for a long time. The hotel is a beautiful home and every attention to detail is made, right down to lovely toiletries in the bathroom and an enormous china cup and saucer for your morning tea.
