  We absolutely loved Zara. We paid extra on arrival and upgraded to the double pool villa for two nights as it was vacant, but then as it was booked out we thenmoved to villa 10 (grand plunge pool villa). We loved so many things about Zara. As there are only 12 or so villas in the resort, most of the time you don't see any other guests. The pools in the single villas are quite sma - This was without a doubt the best resort we ever visited in all our travelling abroad. The garden in which the villas are situated is awesome and right by the sea. This resort is excelent for people who prefer privacy, yet 20 meters walking and you're on the beach. In your private garden by the villa you would think you're alone in the jungle. Every detail of the resort is beautiful. The staff is amazing.   A great hotel and great staff. Really nice breakfast and really nice rooms. The restaurant was surprisingly good. The beachfront is a bit basic; Take a taxi to Chaweng Beach for 300 Bht or a tuc tuc for 150 Bht - Really nice and clean hotel.   We stayed at Crystal Bay for 5 nights and we absolutely loved it. Staff were so helpfully and could do enough for you. Happy hour is 5 till 7 and the Mojitos were great. We had a room with a sea view and what a view it was, the beach was gorgeous and clean. Crystal Bay is between Lamai and Chaweng its only a couple of £1 in a taxi. But be carful because what we didn’t know was you aren’t insured on the bike if you have an accident - Food was excellent! and they made the best margaritas there. The view from the restaurant and pool area is specatular and the resort is really well located in terms of being quiet and yet just a short drive away from the more busy crowds and nightlife. Wifi was the best i have experienced on a holiday, it stretched all the way across the beach strip.The manager and staff were really wonderful, friendly and helpful. I had booked for 2 nights...and i wish i had booked for more. A great place to

  We did not expect very much from this hotel, as it's announced as a 3 star place. We wanted a very quiet place to spend a week of doing nothing, sightseeing, enjoying the sea. Because last year we stayed at the Chaweng area and were a bit tired of noise. A lot of food shops around, exchange offices, massage salons. But not much choice for spontanneous shopping: a usual ch - Extremely helpfull staff, nice and friendly. Clean, good restaurant, fantastic salad sauces at the breakfast. Location direct on the sandy beach with own swimmingpool and massage facility, also on the beach. Close to the main walking road of Lamai, lots of possibilities to travel around Koh Samui. We will come back again!

  We liked everything! The staff is great. They helped us with all our questions. The rooms are also clean! They changed our set of linens every day, perhaps because we asked but it wasnt a problem at all. We would highly recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to enjoy their rest! It is about 5 minutes drive from Lamai.   We found grand Thai very comfortable, with very pleasant staff. The pool was just outside our door, and the beach maybe 100m away, so the main things that might attract people such as us were close at hand. We had our first massage experience there, right at the poolside, great hard working staff. The beach itself was ok, could have been beautiful... was die leute sagen » if the breeze was not onshore all the time, and there wasn't black stuff which accumulates on your feet. Neither was a huge problem, we were only the - Everything! So close to the beach, small but refreshing pool. The staff are lovely and the rooms are serviced every day. 2 minute walk to main street and yet the hotel was nice and peaceful. Shower was fine and ample hot water. This is not a 5 star hotel but we loved it and will definitely return.

  This was my second time here and it was nice to be remembered by the friendly and courteous staff who were always available. This is a family run hotel and it shows - everybody is keen to give good service but in a laid-back Thai style - Location is amazing, right on the sand without the annoying sun chairs clogging up the beach.
