  The resort is a little diffrent in a good way. It's bacically partly in the jungle (with monkeys) and partly buy the sea. The bungalows and rooms are big and spacious. Nicely decorated. The breakfast was wonderful and the food was better than average. If you want party beaches then it's definitely not convenient enough going back and forth at night. The architecture is wonderful, and the surroundings are incredibly peaceful.

  The Hotel is situated in the best locality of Koh Chang. Its just opposite to "THE Chill" and close to "Gajapuri",which are the premier most resorts of Koh Chang. It's a small 'walking street' filled with restaurants and little shops but minus the neon lights and deep base pumping to the small hours (White Sands of you want that!) The hotel has a proper shapes pool so you can swim lengths and the cabin rooms are dotted around it. There are about 20 of these detached modern cabins and they are lovely inside.   The location just across the road from the beach was fine and the beach was pleasant with chairs for rent under a shade tree and shallow clear water far ouy into the sea eg Hich was great for the kids to play in. They booked an elephant camp for us one morning and the housekeeping and front desk staff were quick to respond to requests- - At first I booked a Seaside room, there are two separate buildings for the Alina. The seaside rooms are older then there newer building which is not ocean side however I like these rooms more. The rooms in the newer building are larger and brighter which I found to be more comfortable. The swimming pool is beautiful and if you are concerned about the night club music just ask for a room on the opposite side of the building and you will sleep just fine.

  Sehr große saubere Zimmer! Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, deutschsprachig, sehr grosse Minibar fast zu Supermarktpreisen. Das angegliederte Restaurant (Pauls Restaurant) gutes Essen zu vernünftigen Preisen, super Aussicht aufs Meer, kleiner eigener felsiger Strand (sehr schön!) viele hotspots in der Anlage!   We stayed in big a family room that was located on top of a hill. The climb up was a bit hard because we had big heavy bags, but the view was breathtaking.   Dies war mein vierter Besuch im Salakphetresort. Das Resort liegt am Ende der bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt ausgebauten Ringstraße der Ostküste von Koh Chang, dadurch hat man eine absolute Ruhe gegenüber der Westküste am White Sand Beach. Das Seafoodrestaurant bietet ein hervorragendes Angebot an Speisen, leider kein ordentliches europäisches Frühstück.
