  We went in the hot season, just before the rainy season, so the place was quiet and we got a great deal on a pool-side room. The weather held (mostly) but was extremely hot - up to 38c at times, so the pool (and aircon) were a blessing. That was a great deal well worth the extra 50USD/night for enjoying full privacy, private garden, outdoor jacuzzi, massage tables and steam room. KP site is well kept, the room service spotless, the breakfast royal (bit weak on the pastries though), the staff very friendly and access to downtown made hassle free thanks to the KP shuttle bus (book it well in advance especially on WE) or you can always book a cab
