  I enjoyed staying at the Hofsstadir Guesthouse, situated in most beautiful landscape. Wlan, terrace, spacious living area, lovely talks, and agin the wonderful landscape. The rooms were big and the nicest furnished I had in Iceland. Next to Hofsstadir, there is a very good restaurant, belonging to the wider family. Really nice place and very goo... was die leute sagen » d food. A trip to a puffin island in the area was amazing - and we wouldn`t have known about it without the guest parents. Dear guesthouse parents, t - We loved Hofstadir. Our hosts Toti and Gudny were so warm and welcoming. They were in the middle of a potato harvest when we arrived in the snow! Toti greeted us as a farmer and came back 45 minutes later as an outstanding chef! He provided on of our most memorable meals in Iceland-- perfectly prepared cod with fresh, new potatoes and plated artisticly. They also sell some of their products at Hofstadir such as birch syrup, jams and jellies. Everything was delightful. We will be back. - This was one of the best if not the best location we have stayed during our holidays in Iceland. Very beautiful landscape, nicely equipped rooms, very helpful staff and superb restaurant. Besides some activities in the area it is also a perfect spot to just relax. Small remark: If you happen to go to a whale watching tour in Dalvik from here calculate with a drive of 2h, it's 120km. We didn't and it was quite a rush in the end.

  Very clean room and facilities. The Icelandic family who owns the guesthouse also lives next door so it felt very much like a home stay, but more luxurious of course. The owners are very nice and chatted with us about their farm as they served us breakfast. A very positive and friendly experience. Also the rooms have a great view of the Northern c... was die leute sagen » oast and the horses grazing on the nearby fields. - The hosts a very nice, the breakfast really good, the breakfast area is a nice veranda with views on Drangey island. The room was very pretty and comfortable, spotless clean too! And the view on Drangey was amazing... The restaurant next door is really good too, and you can walk it Also I recommend the Hofsos pool about 20 km away!
