  I thought the hotel was clean, easy to find, and nicely situated right along the coast. It was a great relief to finally get there when we had been driving for so long. After some of the other hotels we stayed in around the country, the hotel was comfortable enough, clean and well presented, and breakfast was great! Like many of the hotels in Icel... was die leute sagen » and though, it was very basic and quite expensive for the quality of the hotel room in comparison to a similar room in the Netherlands or the US (wher - Large rooms for Iceland with large bathroom, good breakfast included, great staff. Good deal compared to our other stays in Iceland. Nice to be in Hofn where we had access to grocery store and restaurants.

  We recently stayed in this guest house for just one night, late check in and early check out. But this was one of our memorable stop on our Iceland trip. Not only the place is clean, comfortable and (relatively) reasonable, the owner of the house was so nice that he really made you feel you were coming to a friend's home. He told us a few must go stops that you don't see from a guide book, like a beauti - Lovely guesthouse, and a great jumping-off point for sightseeing in the south of Iceland. There's not a lot going on in Hofn itself, but Sindri (forgive my poor spelling) was an excellent host who was full of ideas and information about what we could do. Most of our other hotels had hot tubs, so we were a bit disappointed at first that this one didn't. However, it's very close to a local geothermal pool. and Sindri recommended an excellent spot just a 10 minute drive away - five geothermal hot

  The staff comprising of Oris, Tomas, Olin and Christie were just awesome people. We felt that we were at home having a night out. All our questions were answered with additional info of interest added. The rooms and beds were more than adequate. I liked the idea of having his/her comforters for the bed. We were able to view t - The room was clean and comfortable with a good view of the town. There were outdoor spaces to enjoy the sunset over the water.   Sehr nette Führung. Wir hatten eigentlich für drei Nächte gebucht und sind aufgrund des extrem schlechten Wetters einen Tag vorher abgereist und mussten für die kurzfriste Absage keine einzige Krone bezahlen. Nochmals vielen Dank dafür. Arnanes liegt sehr ruhig auf dem Land und man wohnt in kleinen Holzhütten. - Frühstück war OK.

  Location is good, may be the only place where you can stay for that small price in this region. Not everybody likes shower and toilet outside the cottage but the price was really good. And we had shower in swimming pool (anyway it's good opportunity in Iceland to spend 1-2 hours in swimming pool with hot tubs after long day of travelling, I would ... was die leute sagen » recommend everybody to use this opportunity) Also the lobster restaurant just near the swimming pool and not far away from cottages is excellent! (And - nice cozy cottages, small room with table and hot plate with a separate bedroom. We had 2 kids with us so they gave us bunkbeds. Perfect. Shower and toilet near by.

  We stayed at a 3 bedroom apartment over the Posturinn, not in the main guesthouse. The apartment was lovely, large and clean. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind - they replaced the faucet while we were there and came within 3 minutes when we locked ourselves out at 11pm. Serve yourself breakfast was included which was good, guests sitting room and kitchen/dining room were nice and spacious. Nice outside seating area.

  Location was lovely, with views across to the nearby mountains and also down towards the sea at Hofn. Our room (a semi-detached log cabin) was very clean and tidy with a comfy bed and decent shower with plenty of hot water. The lady who checked us in was very friendly and gave a good first impression of the place. Hotel does have a restaurant of their own which is - This place is exactly what you need when travelling Iceland - maybe after some youth hostel stays in Southern Iceland, a more comfortable option close to Hofn. Nice staff, clean, and comfortably located. Ideal especially if you want to go horseback riding. Free Wi-Fi worked well.

  The apartment was very nice, well equipped, and fitted up to 7 people. The kitchen was fully equipped and it has even a garden with extraordinary views to the glaciar - Lovely house just for ourselfs, containing everything we needed for the stay, a lot of space - would have loved to stay there longer - the view is just stunning!
