  Great budget family run hotel with fabulous gourmet restaurant.Good location within walking distance to the center of Amboise. We stayed not in the main building but in separate cottage facing beautiful old garden. The staff was very helpful (the owner and his wife are always at the front desk).   The hotel is modern, well furnished and clean. The concierge is really nice and speaks really good English (which in France is a really big one!). He was also pretty helpful and froze our cooling packs for us and everything. The room was perfect for two persons and the bath was big, bright and clean. Free parking in front of the hotel. We spend one more night there than originally planned and after seeing another hotel on the night after in the same price range I can say: wo - As always this hotel provided exactly what was required for an overnight between England and the South West of France. Friendly reception, clean comfortable rooms and breakfast. The restaurant over the road where evening meals are available is under new management.
