Paris Hotels

My husband and I have just returned from a 3 night stay in Hotel Jules. We had read excellent reviews on LetsBookHotel, felt that the location was good for us - 10 min bus/taxi journey from Gare du Nord (Eurostar), and the price was reasonable. First impressions of the hotel were very good, modern, funky design with a relatively large lobby and a small, cosy bar. The service at check in was great, really friendly and quick. I stayed here with my 78 year old mother on her first visit to Paris and it was ideal. The superior twin room was spacious, clean & comfortable with a great view of the Arc de Triomphe. The staff were friendly & extremely helpful, breakfast was as pleasant as you can get in Paris & everywhere was spotlessly clean. The location is great, a very short walk to the Arc de Triomphe & the Champs Elysee & close to the Metro and the stop for the Open Bus Tour. There are lots of loca - Janet

After our vacation in Paris, I feel I must write something about this hotel, because it deserves all the credit it is due. My husband and I arrived at the Hotel Best western elysees Monceau tired and jaded from our busy lives but as soon as we got there, we were treated like royalty and welcomed in a warm real way, that is rare, compared to the hotels we have been to before in europe. Position in the center of Paris - CUYVERS

We ended up at Cosy's by coincidence, after leaving another property. We arrived around 10am, expecting to drop off luggage in a room but were very happy to be allowed into our rooms. We stayed in a Large Suite, and it lived up to its name. What I liked about the property was: Quiet rooms - being set back from the street meant not being woken up by traffic, trucks, late night revellers etc. King size bed - made it really feel like a holiday Separate toilet to bathroom - for more privacy in th - Jim

We stayed at the Hotel des Chevaliers in January 09 for 3 days. The hotel is very well located around the corner from the Place des Vosges. St Paul metro station is a 5 to 10 min walk. It's on the edge of the Marais district which is a great area for shopping, culture (the picasso museum is not far from the hotel for example) and nightlife. The hotel itself is small. The lift tiny even by Paris's standards!! We had problem fitting in with 1 suitcase!...but that's expected in Paris. The rooms - William

I researched for hours to find an apartment or hotel to house my husband, 15-month old, myself, and mom in two rooms. We were staying 10 days, and thought having a place to cook would help, especially with making food for the babies. This hotel turned out to be awesome. I had been suspicious that the pictures were too good to be true for the price I was paying, but it looked the way it was presented. The rooms are large espeically for Paris with modern amenities. I found the hotel in the magazine National Geographic Traveler, then booked online. I was not disappointed. I called a couple of times prior to leaving on the trip and the reservations person was more than helpful. She was even, honestly, pleased that we were staying there. Upon arrival the staff met us at the entrance and while my wife and I were filling out the appropriate paper work they took our luggage to our room. My wife and I stayed here for an evening following our arrival in Paris. Though it is difficult to find (on a small, quiet street near the Invalides), it was a bargain. Our room had a large, comfortable mattress. The staff is very friendly, and fluent in English. Though they serve only breakfast, there is a fine restaurant next door. This hotel was booked through a travel agent, who got us a very good rate. Terrific location right off the Champs Elysees, near a lot of great stuff. At the same time, the street is very quiet and the hotel is super quiet. Very good staff. Others mentioned the room size but we had a great duplex suite with the kids downstairs on fold out couch and an excellent roll-away bed. The parents were upstairs in the king bed. A great place to stay if you want to stay in an upmarket area, at affordable prices, with 5 star service. The lift starts at the ground floor - essential if you have loads of baggage. Hassan, at the front desk speaks perfect English and knows Paris well. He is friendly and professional - his helpful manner with all our special requests made all the difference to our experience both at the hotel and within the city itself. Paris is a noisy city - this hotel is on a quiet street, close to the Luxe - Rebecca
