  The apartment was very spacious set on two levels. The appointments and equipment was very good and included essentially every thing up to 4 people could ask for. There was no need for a bond payment, as the apartment was administered by the hotel which was just a few steps away.   Splendid hotel, lots to like, and first and foremost must come the extremely friendly and accommodating staff that couldn’t have been more polite or helpful! Other than that the mountain view was excellent. The room was great with the wood panelled walls, fittings and furnishings giving it a chalet feel that we loved. The public areas looked quite interesting with various toys and artefacts sprinkled all over, includin - Everything about this hotel was surprisingly good, all thought the hotel is situated a short distance from the centre of Chamonix, the bus and train service (both stops located 100 mtrs from the hotel) is very good even on Holidays and weekends. Plus each guest gets issued with a free pass for both bus and train journeys in the valley for the duration of your stay, an added bonus, The rooms although small, compare very well with bigger chains of hotels as far as decor and facilities.   One of the original hotels first opened in Chamonix! Still owned by the same family with the owner living in a cute chateau on the premises. It has views of Monte Blanc and the river too. The staff were very helpful and they upgraded our room for free because we traveled with our little daughter. The room is really nice, spacious, with a balcony with a wonderful view over the mountains, Chamonix and the river. The hotel is actually by the river and it is in a very nice location in Chamonix, by the main pedestrian road but in a quiet place. An extra plus is the available parking on site. We would recommend the hotel to anyone travell
