The main advantage of Riviera is location: right in the middle of Vancouver's beautiful downtown, 10 mins walk to Stanley park, 5 mins to waterfront, etc. Room are surprisingly spacious for a hotel and come with full kitchen (stove including). We prefer a studio to a one-bedroom, even if it is three of us: ventilation is better in studios, especially in the summer. The hotel is not new but the interior has been recently renovated. Vom zum Beispiel 15. Stock hat man eine wundervolle Aussicht vom Bett aus. Ich bedanke mich bei dem freundlichen älteren Herr am Ampfang, der die wünsche der Gaeste gern umsetzt.

It was just what I needed for a quick solo trip to Vancouver. Simple, clean room, comfy bed, tv and a basic bathroom. Good value for money considering what I would have had to pay at a hotel. Also the central location made it easy for me to get around and walk to most of what I wanted to see.

The staff were great. They put on some daily activities, so you were sure to get involved and meet new people. Breakfast was good, bagels, fresh fruit and little buns. There is a bar on the ground floor which has great cheap food and drink offers. If you forget anything - the staff got you covered.

We used the hotel as a stopover point while visiting the Vancouver area and were very happy with the service and the location. It is very close to great attractions in the area. We were able to leave our vehicle for a reasonable fee while travelling on an Alaska Cruise. This was a bonus as parking in the downtown Vancouver area is very expensive.

Although situated on a busy junction, our room (103) was at the farthest point possible from the main road and there was no road noise.
Room, with sitting area and kitchenette, was a good size.
Swimming pool (open air) was good, if a little warm for the hot temperatures!
Location meant easy access to Capilano Suspension Bridge and Grouse Mountain, but equally easy to access downtown Vancouver over the Lion's Gate Bridge.
Staff helpful.

This is a cheap motel essentially but it has all the necessary comforts and is clean enough. The wifi signal is ok and the room was spacious. If you are on a budget, I would recommend it. If you are looking for somewhere special to stay, I would pass.

The hotel has a very central location. The room we had and all other facilities were very clean and the shared kitchen and appliances provided are really useful to have (e.g. stove, microwave). The location is very good and walking distance from "downtown" with quick access to shops, restaurants etc. I would certainly recommend this hotel!
