  We used Visalia as a base to visit Kings Canyon. It was a cosy, clean and friendly motel with an appealing pool and a great grill next door for breakfast, lunch and diner.   It was comfortable and the staff were courteous! The only problem was the pool which we could not use for our entire trip because they had trouble balancing the water.   The staff are very, very good at their job. Unflappable and calm no matter what situation occurs. This was by far the most elegant hotel in the chain we stayed at. The neighborhood was relatively quiet and clean for a business district. - We arrived early afternoon and called in to ask for information about places to eat but was told that we could check-in straight away. The young man on the desk couldn't have been more helpful. The room was excellent, clean and comfortable. Breakfast the next morning included a selection of hot dishes as well as all the options of a continental breakfast.
