  We used Visalia as a base to visit Kings Canyon. It was a cosy, clean and friendly motel with an appealing pool and a great grill next door for breakfast, lunch and diner.   It was comfortable and the staff were courteous! The only problem was the pool which we could not use for our entire trip because they had trouble balancing the water. Otherwise, the staff were great and the hotel room was just fine. Location is great too in case you want to be traveling to Sakoia National Park, it is less than 40 miles away.
