I did enjoyed my stay at Red Roof Inn. The proximity to NY city is a plus. Luggage storage is available for guest who arrive before checkin time.The staff are very friendly. There was an incident prior to the last day of my stay. The door to my room wouldn't open for whatever reason. The staff on duty was very helpful. He had to force his way in to open the door from inside so I could get my stuffs. I was relocated to a higher room for the price of a standard room. The staff are always availab.
所有评语 » Hotel staff very friendly loved the maid ladies. Flat screen nice modern and affordable Location! 10 minute drive to NYC very worth it. Very clean, comfortable, serene and close to nature. Good basic accommodation and excellent value. Proximity to NYC. Friendly staff. Easy to find. Great price for one night Very close to NYC. We parked at Secaucus Junction and took the train to the city, parking cost 7$ (on Saturday) and the train cost 8$ return and was safe, clean and easy. Obviously, if going to NYC I prefer to stay in Manhattan but this was fine for one night. Longer than that I would stay in the city for practicality reasons. The fact that they hired a security company; as there was a prostitution ring busted at the hotel shortly before I arrived. Also that when I discovered the air did not work in my orig. Room, they switched me to a different room. Also loved the housekeeping people...very friendly and helpful!. Good price. Restaurants near by (100 m). I recommend the Italian one, they have good dishes. We had breakfast at Sinbad, it was good too. It is 20 min away from Times Square (bus 129 right in front of the property, $3.20 one way). Very close location to MetLife stadium, very convenient travel. The price was great and it was near my company. A decent place to spend the night, seemed clean. Beds were comfortable. Close proximity to NYC. Room was nicely done. We booked this hotel because of the website photos showing it had been completely remodeled. This facility would be fine if you're passing through and nothing else is available. 1) Open reception at any time (even in the middle of the night) 2) Free parking near hotel 3) Fridge and microwave in the room (but my colleague got none for the same price). location to transportation. nice TV. The closeness to New York city. Guest laundry facilities. The environment. The smell outside the rooms smelt like piss!. Hotel lacks complimentary bus to Secaucus city center. This should cut-down guests' taxi costs. Matress was hard and sagging. The room carpet needed cleaning. All the steps. When I made the reservation asked smoking or non to find out that the entire facility was non smoking. It was not a problem but would of been nice to of known. We had a room on the first floor, being a motel-like place, I was a little concerned for safety but the area seemed safe and everything was fine. Left orig. Room after first arriving, not returning until 11:30 at night to discover no air cond. Very rude grave shift desk person did allow me to move to a different room (all by myself at midnight). Also just discovered they overcharged me from my letsbookhotel.com amount, but I will write them a letter. I will stay there again in Sept., Though...nice place. There was no internet access at the Inn. We spent 4 nights. I was told that the system is down, but it was not fixed until we left. Bus station is a little bit far (about 15 minutes walk). The room smelled like mold. Heat took very long time to warm the room. Upon check in the heat was off. Was first placed in 223, after an hour of check in, heat was still not working properly which was probably due to the large crack in the door that allowed cold air from outside to come in. Spoke to Blanca at the front desk and she quickly found another room for us. This was much better and had no more complaints after that. The king room was smaller that how the pictures look though. Overall good stay. I will not stay at this hotel again. The toliet seat was broken and I almost fell of the toliet. I also left a couple of shirts there and tried calling for about 3 hrs with no one picking up the phone at the front desk. A had to leave my meeting and run back to make sure they did not do anything with them. very budget feel to the place, tiny room. Wifi wasn't working for our entire 4 night stay. Free wifi was a factor when choosing this place. No washclothes. Sink faucet was broke. A/c did not work. No smoke head in the alarm. Drapes weren't private enough. Toilet backed up in the middle of the night, night manager didn't have a plunger??? But did offer me another room. The room didn't have microwave nor frigo bar, only one soap ,very narrow room. The whole area is dirty, approaching your room, elevator, doors. The room had been remodeled but the bedspread was heavily wrinkled from the last guests, fingerprints on headboard. Problems locking room door. We didn't stay. We moved to another hotel. For $25 additional per night, we got a room at the Secaucus Hilton. Better security, better view, nice hotel restaurant, quiet and high quality bedding. 1) The rooms for me and my colleague were at different floors in different parts of the hotel. First room I got was occupied by the other guest. 2) The room key had to be recharged every night (otherwise the room didn't open) 3) The room service was very poor. I think within 9 nights the floor wasn't cleaned a single time. 4) Personnel loudly arguing early in the morning just near the window. size of the rooms and maid service. The towels especially on Sunday, my last day had a funny oder, I don't believe they were really clean. I came down with a serious cold when I got home and it may have been because of poor sanitation in the room. Housekeeping did a lousy job of cleaning the room daily. The Hotel was dirty, our room wasn't cleaned for the four nights we stayed there, they would take the towels and not bring them back? The bed was never made up and we never seen the maid. Will never stay in another red roof inn AGAIN...if this is 3/4 stars, needs to be down graded to 1/2 stars. Basically just an interior designed cheap motel. Room smelled damp and mouldy, no windows to open to let smell out. Room was dirty, I found potato chips on the bedside table that were definitely not mine. Uncomfortable bed. Surly and unhelpful housekeeping staff, reception staff more interested in their cell phones.
