Front desk staff (Chris) very courteous and helpful. Sure, the buildings are aging, but the property is massive, green and well looked after with plenty of trees and palms. They have 24 hr. Security walking the property. I always stay at Marriott properties and was not disappointed with this property. The tv sets are old and wifi very poor, but who goes to visit San Diego to sit in their room to watch tv? The previous reviews I've read are just not true. I've observed some guests very rude to h.

I needed to stay an extra night and right away the front desk was able to move some things arownd so that I didn't have to move my 3 young children around and we were able to stay in the same room. They also got me a crib for the baby. I asked for it at the front desk at check in and by the time I made it to the room they were putting it in there! For the price the place was great, but the staff is like a 4 diamond resort! You guys were the best! Thank you for. Private room availability #652 is the best compared to other rooms on south-end of hotel. Hotel pool and laundry is always the best and rivals other surrounding hotels, not as roomy, or clean, not as atmosphere-friendly. I have checked in twice in one month and will continue to do so before/after ComicCon price rates. Thank you for comfortable stay. Please stay in business, the landscape of Mission Valley Resort is the best of any hotel in Mission Valley, a tropical escapesque type, worth hot. I paid a total of $50 a night for three nights. I was not sure what to expect but Mission Valley turned out to be a great choice. The staff (Chris and I didnt get the young lady's name) but were very helpful and very polite. I will come back and stay here when ever I travel to San Diego. I will also recommend this hotel to all that ask. I travel often, and the Mission Valley Resort is, bar none, the best value for the money of any place I've ever stayed. The staff is extremely friendly, the restaurant is excellent, and they have a great pool area, shuffleboard courts and a gym. My kids absolutely love it, and we always stay here when we come to San Diego. staff was excellent except no knowledge of roads ajoining the hotel to 163 or how to get to north side ofhotel circle thought this was unexcusable other than that perfect other info. the jacuzzi / and pool wonderful and open to 10 l loved that/loved breakfast room service WILL stay here again. The Staff was very, very nice. The room location we had was a corner unit. The hotel was very quite. The room was clean. For being a very old hotel we were very comfortable. This room is okay if you do not plan to spend much time in your room. No Smoking and room was fresh. Staff were all wonderfully friendly and very hospitible, the room was spacious and located right by the pool, landscaped with nice tropical feel, love the fact that there is a restraunt and convenience store on the property. We will definitely be returning!. It was a short drive to the old town, the landscaping was rich and relaxing. The pool was great and convenient the resturant was good value and and good selection. Rooms were due for redecoration but were comfortable and clean. Staff were very helpful. This was an inexpensive place to stay - while it was not the best it was not the worst. There was a portable coffee machine and a hair dryer. I had a great night's sleep with no noise although I was off a main highway. I would stay here again. Price was a great deal. Room was very spacious and comfortable. Convenient parking to our room. Great location to Gas Lamp, Old Town and most attractions. Friendly and accomodating staff. We will be coming back to stay again...and again!. I like the customer service, the comfort of the rooms. Access to everything we need or want is nice. There is a very nice bar area and restraunt. We have stayed numerous times and always have a good experience. Everything is alright. Locations is quite nice. You can walk within 10 minutes to Hillcrest, where some nice restaurants and bars are located. You will need a car to get to other locations in San Diego. The staff was some of the best I have experienced among my many travels. They were helpful courteous prompt to fix any issues and a joy to deal with. I am in the hospitality industry and the staff has it down from the housekeeper that wished us off to the front desk staff. Bravo, well done. The room was very confortable and clean. We didnt have to go any where to eat or have a drink. I would definetly stay there next time. And we would recommend it to everyone we know. We were there in the off season so it was nice and quiet. The room was clean, and the bathroom was recently remodeled so the tile, tub, toilet and sink we're all brand new. Prefer to pay 60 usd at this hotel and drive for 10 minutes to reach one of the great places like Pacific beach, La Joya, etc and enjoy nice restaurants and drinks everyday. Very nice for the price we paid. A complimentary late check out was provided. Clean, very nice staff and a great location next to shopping and military bases. We where up graded which was very nice as we where staying 6 days. The pool and jacquzzi was really nice. The suite was nice and spacious. Room service was great. Food was good, and served in a very prompt and friendly manner. Pool and Bar also a pleasant surprise. There was nothing that I didnt like about Mission Valley Resort. water in bathroom drained very slow anything pluged in fell out of sockets and light fictures fell out of wall light sockets /no power to some light sockets. The TV was about 32" and very, very, very old. Only about 10 tv channels available. Bathroom very cramped and not user friendly. Clean, but again too small. Given the price, there was nothing I did not like. Nope, very satisfied!. When we got to the room the fridge had been pulled into the middle of the room and when we put it back where it belonged the floor was filthy underneath. Thos was taken care of quickly with a phone call. The room seemed to be in a bit of disrepair especially the bathroom (broken towel hanger electrical outlet not properly anchored to the wall) but overall it was decent especially for the price!. The room was a smoking room turned into a non smoking.They sprayed room with heavy spray to try and cover but it was in mattresses.I also booked a king and received 2 twins due to lack of kings. It didnt have a refrigerator in room. Bed was a little softer than my liking. What I like outweighs the negatives .Me and my wife come here 2 or 3 times a year but we are worried about the condition of the property and they are just going to sell off the land for other big hotels with no history. the carpet was loose. The only thing that bwas not up to par was that our room could have had a paint job and the old carpet replaced.other than that it was fine. The food in the restaurant was poor. Would be nice if the suite had some cutlery. Over all a good experience and would consider staying in this hotel next year. Found my room dirty, badly needing paint and bath room cleanliness in need of cosmetic upgrades. Rooms were a little bit too small & outdated but otherwise they we're o.k. Could of used a complementary breakfast with juice/coffee, but I still enjoyed my stay... Micro wave not available for 2 days. No batteries in TV remote, took 2 days to get them. TV reception was very poor. They didn't have regular coffee late at night. They shouldn't charge for microwave and fridge. They need to upgrade their TV 's. The beds were stiff, and there weren't enough pillows. smelled musty, there were about 4 TV channels, bathroom needed updating. Bare bones minimum. Our bedding was not clean and smelled really bad. The rooms were not all that clean either. Rather noisy due to the close Higway, pool clean and nice but noisy as welll. The first room had a pervasive bad smell, worn furnishings, the 2nd room was cleaner and brighter. vending machines need filling and maintenance, rooms could do with some paint, the drains in tubs and sinks need attention, no refrigerators. It's out dated. Our light was broken and our first room smelled like cigarettes. Bar, smoking around pool. The room I saw on line was not even close to the room I recieved upon my arrival.Not to mention the drug dealers and prostitutes that were rampant while I was there.I Was told I had a outstanding balance once I left even as I had to leave a deposit and pay in cash ,hmmmm how does that happen?. Not enough ice machines. Easily hear outside noises. Needs updating inside and out. Sink was plugged up. When we called the office it was taken care of. Room was cramped and small. Needs updating and cosmetic fixing. Smell of the room, not a first class clean and well taken care of. However acceptable for the money!. It was a nice room and was comfortable in the main room, but not so comfortable in the sofa bed for my daughter. TV channel selection, noise from other guests. I didn't like that upon request of the refrigerator there was there was a $10.00 fee (per day). The shower head is extremely low for the average sized American and the towels and wash cloths were thread baren. N/A.
