The location was perfect! We could walk to almost anywhere we wanted to see. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I kinda also liked that it was retro looking. I grow up going to the beach in the 70's and remember most hotels were like this, not the condos that are around today. It reminded me of my teenage years. I was pleasantly surprised as other reviews had me a bit nervous about this hotel. Staff was helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and updated. I had a tub/shower combo as opposed to another review I read that claims to have had only a shower stall. You can’t beat this location... Walking distance to everything.
所有评语 » The location and staff, particularly Carlos at the front desk went out of his way to make my anniversary/ engagement go smoothly. He was very friendly, professional and accommodating. The price for the location is superb.... also the remodeling made a world of difference... also never heard a noise from another room and we were on the first floor.... Location in the heart of the historic area across the street from the Fort, layout of room, quiet for being right in the city, cool breeze off the water in July. Staff was very friendly and efficient. Room was clean, comfortable and convenient, pool was warm and accessible, and property was very well maintained. room was clean and comfortable. Location was in historic district and we walked to everything. Great experience. Will be staying there in the future. When we are in St. Augustine we always, always, stay at the Bay Front Inn. We do so for all of the above reasons, location, value, cleanliness, etc. convenient location in St Augustine, walking distance to most amenities comfortable clean room great little restaurant next door for good breakfast. 1. close walking distance to attractions and restaurants 2. cleanliness 3. comfortable bed 4. staff 5. microwave and refrigerator. It was very convenient for what we were looking for, shopping walking, enjoying adult beverages, so for that it was perfect. Locatiion, internet, television, fridge, lovely comfortable bed. We walked to the Casa Blanca Hotel for breakfast. My husband walks with a cane, so the short walk was appreciated. The location was excellent. The rooms were a little small but that was not a big deal. It would have been nice to have a vanity/sink area outside of the bathroom to be used for makeup/hairdrying while someone else took a shower. My total price was about $220 per night. The room and bathroom are a bit small, but you aren't in St. Augustine to sit in your hotel room all day. Price seems a little high for a Best Western, but I guess it makes sense with the location. I didn't find a plethora of 5 star hotels in the area to choose from instead. I hate to say anything negative but being in the hospitality industry for many years you tend to notice things and the one thing I noticed was that there were two dead roaches in the room and the next day after the maid "cleaned" our room they were still there. One was in the bathroom and the other by the dresser. the room is tight but the bed more than made up for it.... top notch mattress and covering accessories... The shower head was not removable.... Plumbing problem caused water (clean) to bubble up out of the bathroom sink and all over the floor on our last morning. I'm sure this must be fixed by the time you read this. We loved everything else!. The location of the refrigerator---in a cabinet low to the floor and in close range of the bed. Slightly hard to access. There's nothing that I didn't like about this hotel, except maybe the bathrooms are a little small. But that's a minor inconvience. small room crowded parking lot poor wi-fi function. 1. credit card could not "connect" - had to contact VISA 2. Parking can be a problem. I was a old hotel, but was clean and suited the purpose, the parking was bad, and I had to leave my car down the road on the streeet, wasn't crazy about that, but it turned out fine. carpet was grubby and looked like it needed a good hoover. Long black hair in sink. I booked months in advance and requested 'second tier' room. We were given ground floor rooms. When challenged we were told this could only be 'requested' However this was eventually arranged for us. I felt that booking well in advance that this request would be easy to accommodate. Staff were very nice though. This is not really a complaint. Could have opted for a first floor room, but requested a second floor room to better see the water. Loved the view, but there is no elevator. Bathroom in our room during return stay was extremely small and cramped. Parking a bit inconvenient. Bathrooms outdated. couldn't book handicapp room on line. The parking lot was small. parking was a little tight. The pillows. thought a continental breakfast would be included, because at the other Bestern Westerns it is, was a little disappointed in that. nothing. Price was more than double what I paid last time. Probably in line with its location. Parking was tight and seemed limited. Rooms a bit small. First night could hear the music from bar behind. Rooms were small, but we only used the room for sleeping and that was fine. Parking fee. Small Rooms and Parking Fee. Didn't get to stay long enough. The 7$$+tax the cuartee me for the parkng. Didn't like all the fees added at the end. I payed to park at my hotel. Really? Not cool. price for parking. room small a/c marginal. nothing. Room was small. price from regular day to holiday day. Size of the bathrooms. $7.00 per day parking. No HBO and no TV station that did not show commercials. In the absence of this, would have expected to have some in-hotel films available but no such luck No Laundry No breakfast facilities in the Hotel. Had to go to diner next door, which was good but small and therefore very busy with hotel residents trying to get a seat as well as the general public. Bathroom shower was slippery and did not have a grab bar or anything to hold on to. The tub was plugged when we tried to take a shower. This should never be an issue. There was only 1 roll of toilet paper in the room. Talk about being conservative on supplies. No ventilation fan in the bathroom either for getting rid of humidity from showering. The Hidden Parking Cost. Bed VERY firm. No brochures of things to see in the area i.e. lighthouse, ripleys, fountain of youth, etc. Don't stay in room 102. Woke up by loud staff right outside door more than once and at 2:30 in the morning!!!!. Average rooms, but big weekend prices. Tricky paint lines on steps. Rooms were too small, like a cabin on a cruise ship. Felt almost claustrophobic, Would accommodate 1 preson comfortably.
