We had a large room with two queen beds. It was nice not to be squeezed for space. Large dining room with a nice breakfast selection. Staff was great, helpful and extra towels were not a problem which were soft and fluffy, by the way. We stay at the Guest House when we visit Mayo Clinic. A plus is the location - the shuttle bus for the clinic picks up GH guests last and drops them off first.

We have stayed at this location several times now when we are in Rochester. It is very handy for us to get to Mayo Clinic. It is always clean and staff very helpful. Nice size refrigerator very big room great and helpful staff. they made sure I would have a cart near the door for a 3rd room floor near the elevator. Really liked the pool area. Temp was just right and the kids had a lot of fun. Breakfast was good and rooms were very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was quiet and comfortable. We especially liked the brontosaurus out front. We were well taken care of. This is our third time using this hotel. Heated pool. Pool area. Great continental breakfast, rooms were pretty sound proof. We had a very spacious room which was great because my mother-in-law has difficulty getting around and needed to sleep in a recliner. The beds were comfortable. The location was nice- next to a restaurant and located on the highway we needed to access for travel. Staff were friendly. Available stairs to use to get to room. Not very attractive on the outside Only one ramshackle bench to sit on outside while waiting for shuttle unappealing view of service area for breakfast bar--door open most of the time Musty hallways, worn carpet in stairwell Highway and auto repair shop noise. Hubby wishes there were other hot breakfast choices besides waffles, like biscuits and gravy, sausage, bacon, etc. Nothing comes to mind. Husband has trouble walking and our room was at the far end of hall from elevator. We should have asked for a room closer to elevator or on first floor. Uncomfortable bed. Too few pillows and they were out of extra ones. Bathroom was small and of mediocre quality. Smelly- musty room Better breakfast, hot foods, better pastries. They charged me for 3 rooms and told me to wait for the extra charge to come off my credit card. So far it has not. I will have to call again. The only complaint I have is about the blankets - I have never seen more stiff, scratchy blankets! Both beds. I think they were dried in driers that were too hot. Otherwise the beds and pillows were very comfortable. Pool was not usable- was just filled, swamp green and not ready for use even though we were told it would be. Hotel needs much updating. Was very worn and old. Elevators very slow. Breakfast was gross. There were barrettes on the floor behind a standing lamp. Floors felt sticky. Pillows were awful. unfriendly not clean accomidations were not open like told.
