  The staff were great! After they couldn't find our letsbookhotel.com booking in their system they were kind enough to give us an upgrade for the delay in our check-in. The room was clean & comfortable & the breakfast was nice.   The facility needs much updating. It has a great concept and wonderful staff..but the rooms need more than patch repairs to raise its stsndard. didn't use the pool but there were many who did and it was lovely. The hotel had race themed decorations up, gave each guest a race goodie bag, offered a breakfast bag to go each morning for those not enjoying the free hot breakfast, and hosted a "happy hour" each evening.   The bed was one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in. If someone like from a hotel were driving you there from the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport it was ideal in location. It was immaculately clean. Everyone there was so helpful and went overboard to help us in anything we asked for. We stayed 5 nights.   Before he passed away, my fiancé and I found La Quinta the only hotel for us. We have a beagle and it is the only place that doesn't charge you extra and nobody ever complains about our dog.
