  Excellent staff that seemed to be genuinely interested in making my stay as pleasant as possible. Although still going through a renovation phase, the Lancaster is a well appointed historic hotel with excellent access to Houston's theatre district and good quality restaurants.   I liked the convenience of the hotel and its proximity to the Austin airport. I had an early flight and the hotel staff ensured that the shuttle was on time. I've stayed at over 20 properties on the island and I dread the walk to the sand. La Copa makes it so easy with the pier. I LOVE IT! I love that you accept pets. I didn't bring mine this time, but I will! Breakfast is nice, but I don't make it by 10am :-( Can you extend til 11? The staff is super nice! The cleaning staff works super hard! I saw them sweeping the sand on the steps of the pier - that's awesome!
