The staff was fantastic in making sure I had proper directions and that I could go straight to my room when arriving at 3am. Bree also worked hard with reps from letsbookhotel.com to find the best room for my family and I when I requested changes to my original reservation. The proximity to mass transit is/was great. The proximity to affordable and good food is/was great. Whether traveling with a family or not, I would first look to stay at The Conwell Inn if I'm ever in the Philly area again.
所有评语 » They are pet friendly. Even after their pet and parking fees it was cheaper than hotels of similar quality. North Philadelphia feels like home for someone from Baltimore. The Temple campus is nice, especially the old buildings on Broad Street. We were in town on Thanksgiving weekend so the students were not there, and it was quiet. We all liked it. We chose the Conwell Inn for its easy access to the subway line and because it could accommodate three of us in one of its larger rooms. We didn't realise it was on the Temple Campus but that turned out to be great fun. . Front desk staff were absolutely wonderful (especially Erin!). I just love this place. My daughter goes to Temple, so it's right on campus and so convenient. But most of all, it is really quaint. I stayed twice in two different rooms, and they were completely different layouts. Both were so spacious and clean, and I just like the place so much!. An excellant hotel providing basic facilities including vegetarian breakfast, ironing facilities , microwave , clean environment and windows were facing good views.The staff was friendly and helpful and guided with perfect directions. The metro was at a throwaway distance. The quietness and comfort of the place. one really gets more than he paid for. it's fantastic. the elevator needs attention. otherwise,it is A wonderful place. can'T wait to be back in philly and stay there once again. very close to the train sub station. Location...if you like a college atmosphere and don't mind some noise( at 2 am) it is a nice place to stay. They offered breakfast, although the choices were a bit limited. Rooms were generally comfortable and clean....limited channels offered on tv..... I was pleasantly surprised that the room included a sitting area. The location and surroundings provided the perfect historical ambiance. I would definitely stay here again when in Philadelphia; it is convenient to the central city. Brea at the front desk was great! She helped us with taxi's, getting from one location to the next & was just plain nice. Appreciate being able to use the computer & printer with N/C. Printed up sites & directions. I did like the convenience of being on the campus where my daughter is. I sometime travel by train and don't have a vehicle so it makes things easier being right there. Also the hotel is very clean and the staff was friendly. Quite, conveniant, cozy little hotel right in the center of temple campus. There are parks and cafes right out the front door. You would never know your in the center of philly. all the architecture of the hotel is amazing, it is in the middle of the university campus. The staff was just great, caring and looking after our comforty all the time. the staff was very nice and friendly. we really enjoyed our stay felt very comfortable. It's a great place to get away and enjoy yourself. the place was very clean. It's not too far away from the convention center. Front desk staff are all friendly and are willing to help us. Everything. This was one of the cheaper places to stay in Philly, and it included breakfast and really yummy cookies. Staff were helpful when needed. The beds were comfortable and offered cable. We were visiting family on the Main Line, so the access by car was not ideal (1-2 miles to nearest freeway in all directions). If we had been tourists wanting access to Center City by rail or metro it would have been fine. Poor Breakfast. The hotel itself is getting a bit old but was very comfortable. Not sure I overly liked having pets in the hotel but realise they need a bed at night too!. A little less expensive and/or free parking would be nice. The elevator!. When I got my bill for the room, the charge was calculated at $150(approximately as I do not have the bill in front of me). I showed them my booking confirmation ($130) with you, so they immediately made the adjustment. They were very nice about it, so it was not unpleasant, but they said that they received a different charge from you folks, so I'll leave that up to you to sort out. Nothing I didn't like. 1) Parking is a little non-existent but we were lucky to have handicap sticker so we got one right away! Didn't move it though for fear we wouldn't get it back. 2) Online says refrigerator & microwave in room, which there isn't!. I don't like the fact that being a small hotel that it fills up quickly and I can't always get a room. I also think that the charge for the rooms are a little high. The breakfast consisted of Weaties or cherrios and coffee and toast. maybe the only thing that i didnt like very much was that when you are getting there theres no sign to guide you from the main avenue to its exact spot, so its a little dificult to find it. the room we had a few nitches, curtains had rips..handles were coming off roof needed paint. the room wasn't perfect but I bet we still book another room. o yeah the beds are way too squeaky. On the first night there wasn't enough hot water for my shower. As it was so far out it was quite expensive compared to some of the other main city 'peripheral hotels' we booked on our trip, but maybe that's Philadelphia. Friends who live in Phila said the area is not safe at night. That is when you want to go out for a meal and/or a walk after a business day. There seems to be no restaurants nearby, ie within walking distance. No need for a restaurant in the hotel if there were some in the area. Takes a while to get a taxi. There were double curtains. The sheer curtains on both windows had big ripped holes. Regarding letsbookhotel.com, even though the Conwell Inn gives good detailed driving instructions on their website, if you just go by the address on letsbookhotel.com and put it in your GPS, it takes you to a very, very bad neighborhood. Literally, the Hood. For visiting the city a little bit far out of the city but not bad. loved everything...well, maybe how to actually find the place as it is difficult to figure out the alleys. Complimentary breakfast is very plain, only cereal and bread. I would like to see eggs added to this breakfast. The road to the hotel was EXTREMELY difficult to locate, and a few blocks away the area became very sketchy. Philadelphia! Dirty horrid and scared very intimidating underground. I was expecting a small refrigerator and a microwave. As stated in the advertisement, but there was none, and although I spoke with housekeeping, my room was never cleaned. It is really tricky to drive to the hotel, as it is right on campus and they just changed the street name and turned it into a pedestrian-only street, so for example my navigation was totally confused. Directions were a bit confusing and street was tough to find at night. We could have gotten better directions (we wanted to go to the Barnes, and we could have avoided a long long WAlk by getting better information.). Nothing. It's impossible to find the hotel at night. We drove around for 45 minutes trying to find the entrance. We finally had to call the hotel and the girl at the front desk stayed on the phone with us until we found the driveway. A bigger, and more luminescent sign is needed!. The hotel is located on the grounds of a small university, quite far from the historic part of the city. Breakfast is average, there is a tiny space in front of the reception where it's served. Right on campus, lots of activities 24 hours/day. Continental breakfast is just toast. Difficult to find. At 1 am a group of people down the hall began to bang on their door, repeatedly slammed it and ran around the floor screaming. This lasted til 3 am. Needless to say, we had a sleepless night. Also, breakfast had only whole wheat bread. No bagels and pastries. Coffee was just not good. It wasn't as central as we're used to and a little hard to find. A little hard to find... To far to the heart of city, like Rittenhouse Square. College kids were too loud and you could hear them all night. it would be nice if there was a larger road sign pointing to where the inn was. we drove by it 2 times. Lack of refrigerator or microwave in room. Very difficult to find entrance to parking lot even with GPS. Very poor breakfast bar!. The Wifi didn't work. The fan in the bathroom sounded like a jet engine taking off. And I could hear the neighbours fans or air con running all night. The location is close to town however it's located in the middle of the university so you get all the students hanging around outside which is noisy all night. Biggest complaint was for an expensive boutique hotel was "continental breakfast" of dry bread, or cereal and coffee. They wanted you to go next door and use the expensive coffee bar for breakfast! No microwave or refrig. In room. Very noisy fan in bath. Bath not in good repair (faucets leaked, basin slanted) for pricey room. No hooks or towel racks to hang towels. The wifi very weak I couldnt even open a web page. Away from the airport. Breakfast very simple..no islamic food.
