The price was extremely affordable for all that was included, such as; easy check-in with a very friendly staff; chairs for lounging outside of your room to visit with neighbors or members of your party in separate rooms: a heated indoor swimming pool open until 11PM; a fun little playground for the kids to utilize; a decent continental breakfast with an employee making fresh waffles for you; 24-hr coffee, tea & juice available; and a good location within walking distance of shops & res.
所有评语 » Therese and her staff are wonderful. They are so willing to go above to help their guests and provide information on place to eat and visit. The property is on old highway 31 which helps with the charm that it is not located by all the other hotel,motel and is very quiet. The room I stayed in was roomy, clean and plenty of pillow for the bed. If you want a change in staying off the beaten path, stay at the Thunderbird Inn. The staff was exceptional, the place super clean. We were there with our two bulldogs as well and bulldogs shed. Every single day (and we were there for four days), that room was vacuumed free of the dog hair. No smells that you sometimes get with pet friendly hotels. The front desk staff (owners?) were delightful, helpful and friendly. The staff was helpful, especially the man who was there when we checked in. He is the definition of excellent customer service. The bed was very comfortable and breakfast was good. It was nice that there was fruit, coffee/tea/juice, snacks available 24-hours. The room was pretty. The pool was nice, too. Right when we walked in we were greeted with a smile. We arrived hours before check in and asked if we could park our car in there parking lot as we went about our day. We wanted to walk downtown to take the ferry for a lighthouse cruise. We were told it would be no trouble for us to do. The room was nice, the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good, I'm happy with Belgian waffles. The pool was great!!! and it is open 24 hours :) also they have fruits and coffee all day. I also used the $2 off coupon for the ferry to Mackinac Island. We had two rooms and the one with one bed was less nice than the double, but this was just an overnight stay on the way back from eastern Ontario and was good value for the money. Breakfast with waffles was better than some other hotels of similar price. Everything. Super value for your dollar. A great start to our vacation. Good size comfortable rooms. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to help us. We enjoyed the motel so much, we spent another night on our way back home. I had some trouble using it's WiFi and had to bring devices to the lobby room to use WIFI. There was a black spider near the bed and my daughter got a sore bite on her neck. We think she got it from the spider. The king sized fitted sheet did not stay down. Our alarm clock didn't work but we called for a wake up call and had our phones to tell the time. The rooms were not very clean. It needed to be updated really badly. Some of the lights were unplugged and we were unable to plug them in because the outlet was behind the bed. All the styrofoam at breakfast. Not very enviro friendly. Need a changing room in or near pool area. Would've liked a hot tub. Not enough towels not enough diet coke in the pop machine and not veriety on the breakfast. Room was too bright at night for sleeping. Pulled curtains shut as best as we could but light came in. Only complaint I could give. The waiting for the van to get to the dock and then the long line up to get to the Island. Fortunately a party of six gave up their place in line, so our party of six was able to get to the wedding in time. The wifi did not work. After the second night the person that cleaned our room did not restock coffee There was no protein (eggs of any kind) on the breakfast. the room had a Jacuzzi and even though we did not use it the room was extremely humid and the air we turned on when we got back to room at night but then it would get too cold. No hot tub, and pool was not heated (at all). (Could not use because it was so cold.) Also, Wi-Fi was so terrible, we couldn't use it. Finally, we had a whirlpool tub, and we got in to use it and found it thick with soap scum all around. That the water temps flucuate, which is posted, but didn't realize it went from burning hot to freezing cold in an instant. It would be nice if Breakfast was available for a little longer in the morning; also only one ice machine-a ways from the rooms. price (holiday weekend. The fluctuation in water temps in the shower. breakfast was just OK. Rooms could use some updates was going to make coffee but bug on equipment add little more time to breakfast availability. My remote did not work but I was there such a short time that it wasn't an issue for me. Liked everything. I stayed in the older section and the heater's a bit old fashioned. There was no microwave in the room. No whirl pool, when you had one in 2009. I was disappointed. need to update waffle iron and have different type of fruit and get some boiled eggs. Nothing. Staff was grumpy and didn't care for our service. Very mediocre breakfast provided. The shower temperature fluctuated between just right, cold, and scalding hot without warning. The answer to number 5 is maybe - if they fix the water problems. Breakfast was a real disappointment, ceral dispensors empty, most other offerings low or empty, no warm offerings, except waffles. It was the morning of July 4th assumed hard to find people to work. breakfast was so-so. Shower temperature difficult to adjust. the water was too cold, took way to long to warm up. wifi worked sometime but not always, many people with phones and lap tops. need to update Modem.
