  My wife and I have found the Candlewood Suites a great chain. You will not be dissapointed with this Las Vegas Hotel. Ok it is not directly on the strip but its only 10 mins by foot which suited us. At night it was quite and it also has plenty of parking. The room was clean, comfortable and well furnished.   I was extremely wary after reading the negative reviews for this hotel but the price was right and as a college student the price was really what it came down to. I was pleasantly surprised when our suite was clean and spacious. I would recommend taking air freshener because the scent of cleaning agents was strong. Looked good but we did not use it or stay in the hotel much. It is far from the strip but not a problem if you have a car. Nice view of surrounding hills, proximity to a Lake Mead area, and Las Vegas worked for us.

  From the moment I walked in to the reception the staff just smiled and was super-friendly. Got help when i neede to make phonecalls and I was able to do a very late check-out.   First off there was a mix up on my dates (letsbookhotel.com) through you and eventually them we were able to get our original date. I can't say enough good things. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The pool area and lifeguards couldn't of been nicer and involved with our little guy who couldn't get enough of the slide. We only live 86 miles away and we'll be back j - This is my second time staying here and both times have been a wonderful experience. The rooms are great and we loved that the bathroom had a spa tub and there was a kitchen fully equipped for your choice to cook or not. The pool is great and the bar/café is a nice place to hang and have some cocktails. We really enjoyed Debbie (behind the bar) she is a hoot...had some laughs with her. We highly recommend this resort!
