  I booked this hotel for a quick two day trip to see San Francisco with our kids based on the good price compared to nearby hotels, not really expecting much in the way of facilities. We stayed for 2 days & walked or bussed the whole time. Very central location to everything. We walked from the hotel to Pier 39/Fisherman's Warf, Chinatown, North Beach, Union Square, then would take the bus back. We did this with a 5 year old & a 2 year old. The rooms were clean & tidy with plenty of space. I would definitely stay here again.

  We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights during our journey around the West Coast and had a pleasant stay at this hotel. We stayed on the second floor which had a small dining area and outside patio which we used alot. The room was a bit on the small side but had everything we needed and was clean. Location is great. It's an older hotel that could use updating, but it's clean, staff is friendly and it has free parking. It's perfect if you do not plan on spending a lot of time in your room. We left every morning by 9am and came back around 7pm, so it was perfect for the amount of time we spent there. We and many others enjoyed the wine that was served every evening in the lobby between 5:00 - 6:00 PM.   I always stay here when in San Francisco. It's a great location and I always feel safe and comfortable. There's breakfast and the staff is very nice. You can't beat the price either. - We have always loved this location. The room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was satisfying and the staff helpful. We would definitely return.

Location is very good too, just a very short walk off the lively Union street, convenient for buses... Overall, definitely recommended, we'll stay there again if we're ever in the area.

  This was my first trip to sf taking my 13 year old granddaughter. The staff was very friendly and helpful with directions, restaurants and ways to travel around the city.   Our stay at the Holiday Inn Fisherman's Wharf was great. We had a clean, tidy room that was serviced daily. We were a block walk away from where our hop on hop off bus departed from. Location was great! Just 5min walk to Pier 39. Bear in mind you do have to still have to be mind - The location is perfect for those who want to explore San Fran on foot. Chinatown, Little Italy, Lombard St, Fisherman's Wharf, Ghirardelli Square, and the Marina are all within a 10-15 minute walking distance. Take bus 49 from outside the hotel and you can take a quick ride ($2/day pass) to go visit the Painted Ladies or Japan Town. There is great food nearby and tours that go to the bridge and beyond.
