  I was impressed how friendly ALL the staff were. Also, impressed by the way the staff were continually busy keeping inside and outside of the building clean. Depending on the guests that arrive, that is not always easy. Breakfast buffets were well stocked and kept clean even though there were many people visiting over the weekend I stayed. My wife and I are planning to travel this summer and intend on staying at La Quinta where ever possible.

  We stayed in the cottages and it was wonderful. There was a small kitchenette that was fully furnished and a coffee pot which is very important to me. The patio outside our room had a beautiful view of the lake and we enjoyed feeding the fish and watching the turtle and small gator. Be sure to visit the Edison/Ford estates while you are there. - We loved the peaceful, relaxing mornings & evenings we spent on the porch looking over the pond watching the turtles, the baby gator and listening to the ceramic dolphins shooting water. We stayed in the individual cottages, even though it is an older place, it's very nostalgic and the inside was updated and comfortable. There was a small nature trail that was neat and they offered free canoeing. Close to downtown.
