  A group of my friends and I (in our 20's) were having an outing at Sundown Mountain in Dubuque, and after shopping around for hotels I found the Best Western Plus Dubuque Hotel and fell in love. There were a - the rooms were clean and neat. the air conditioning was excellent for 95 F weather. it was within a few miles to all of the tourist sites along the Mississippi.

  The staff were very friendly and personable. Carolyn went out of her way to make sure our room would be available for our late arrival. The bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was excellent and featured waffles, eggs and sausage in addition to the normal cold breakfast fare. Was impressed that the ice machine was inspected each am. The woman at desk gave me written directions to the nearest church for Sunday Mass. My sister said the bed was the best she ever slept on at a motel. Also, there was no noise at night such as slamming doors, etc.

  Nice, friendly we were just traveling through. Would like to visit a again and stay here take in some of the sights. Room was clean, bed was comfy, restaurant food was great, so was the waiter. Thanks - We were walking distance from great places to eat, shopping, museum, casino etc.

I would recommend this motel to any one planning to stay in Dubuque.   Great location in downtown Dubuque. The lobby is warm and inviting, and the room was very tastefully appointed and comfortable.
