The room was what it said it was. King size. Some hotels say that, but they think a king bed makes a king room. I enjoyed the stay. I had my doubt from the look of the area. Buy was pleased once I got into my room. If I was ever in the area I would stay at the hitching post again. The value of the room. It was neat and clean and they are working to bring back an old landmark motel.

Leeza at the front desk! She was so professional. Big room, nice bed. Good WiFi connection. Friendly, clean. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was large and comfortable. The furnishings were dated but clean. First visit, decent room and clean even though fixtures and furniture were older. Seemed like a bargain. convenience, the bus that picked us up and drop off for frontier days the spacious room. Very friendly staff, room was spaceous. Front desk Staff great very friendly and helpful. Rooms large and easy access to car we parked at the back and had two doors back and front. Excellent for nearby shuttle bus to frontier days. The room size was good. It was a large room. Easy to find. location. Location. Looks sleazy from outside. N/A. Not a great breakfast. Half the property is surrounded by a chain link fence as if its condemned. The whole place looks scary and ill kept. We tried to cancel our reservation the minute we saw the place bit couldn't find accomodations anywhere else. Second visit, another nice size king bed suite, but less clean and furniture in need of replacement. Furniture had visible stains, frayed and torn fabric. TV did not work when turned on but picture finally came in after 5 minutes. Warm up required each time I returned to the room. Seemed much more to be a rundown hotel on its last legs. I think they raised the price because of frontier days. Housekeeping very poor they want access about 8'30am and don't come back if room not free. They had access one day during stay but didn't do very much. Hotel has strange smell it's awful. In sheets rooms ect. Carpets filthy don't walk in bare feet. Also nearby train beeps horn very loudly regularly through night. No business center. Very few places to eat near the hotel. The bedding was old and discolored. It helps to buy new bedding every few years. Parking lot was dark. NOT the kind of place I would have stayed at if I had not had reservations. Dirty floors, hair in bathroom. Sheets & pillows poor. old worn out furniture & bedding. Mold in the bathroom, carpet was stained, room smelled old and like a used car.
