  We were incredibly impressed with the attention given to what really makes someone comfortable away from home.   We arrived before check-in time, and our room was not ready as we had anticipated. Still, staff was very apologetic. Noting from the reservation that it was our 51st Wedding Anniversary that day, they upgraded our room! It was beautiful, and we were really touched. Every time we requested assistance - with a cab, etc. - - The staff was friendly and helpful. There is no elevator at the hotel, and the bellman carried both of our large, heavy suitcases to our room with a smile on his face. The breakfast in the hotel restaurant was excellent. The hotel was centrally located within Carmel, and it was very easy to walk to the beach and the shops/restaurants in town. A charming experience.

Appointments were awesome (heated towel rack, extra long tub,exhaust fan that really worked,super comfortable bed, great view of the lake from patio, heated pool,quiet, pristine grounds, stylish window treatments, padded seating areas in room, teak adirondack patio chairs, lighted closet, glass (not plastic) wine ... 别人怎么说 » glasses and drinking glasses. - Nicely updated rooms, kind of a mix between Spanish Colonial and California Native style. Bathrooms are updated with stone masonry throughout and updated fixtures. Walk in shower and bath tub. Huge (for hotel standards) flat screen, wall-mounted led tv, and hd channels. Beautiful onsite swimming pool and gym. Grounds are beautiful, staff was very friendly and accomodating.
