  Great location within walking distance of both Windemere and Bowness. Helen, Phillippa and Trevor all pleasant and helpful. They even took us through the kitchen at breakfast time to see the Deer in the woods at the rear of the property. She welcomed us with delicious tea and cookies, and provided us some milk and cereal when she heard we had to catch up an early train and would miss the breakfast - hmm, the breakfast was quite good here. The room was clean and cozy, enough space and we even saw a deer outside the window. Overall it was really nice stay, I could understand why this guesthouse could get such a high rating.

  We found this delightful place very near to the village center. The owner and her daughter were extremely polite, caring and helpful, on our arrival they had provided us with loads of guides and plenty of info for our hiking trip across and around the lakes. Loved the 'honesty box/drawer', where you were asked to leave 50 pence for any mineral water bot - We had room 3 with the 4 poster bed, it was soooooo comfortable! Diane the b&b owner was very hospitable, she tailored our stay to meet our needs, my friend left her electric cigarette charger at home so Diane let us use her personal computer to charge it. Also, when we got there Diane had left leaflets and a map on our bed, this helped so much during our stay. The breakfast was nice and the location is perfect, a 5 minute walk in to the village of windemere and a 20 minute walk to bowness
