Everything was exceptional. The place is a typical country house with very clean rooms with white crisp towels and bed linen. Breakfast was something I used to look forward to every morning which was really good. Location was just right as we were travelling by car and few mins from windermere centre. Above all Rosemarie was wonderful as she gave us a warm welcome on arrival and my 10 year old son adored her as well as her two dogs. Would definitely go back there if we travel to Windermere .

I am a wheelchair user (complete paraplegic) and found the access to be excellent. I would go as far to say that Meadowcroft is probably one of the best places I've stayed for disabled room facilities. The option to book a disabled room from the website is a very good touch, I usually have to phone ahead to confirm that the room is appropriate for my needs and available, which this function eleviated, if only other sites/hotels did this. The room was spacious, comfortable and extremely clean. T.
Exceptionally friendly host in Rosemarie. Well decorated rooms Great en-suite, really nice shower/bath. Lovely quiet rooms with very comfortable bed. Excellent microbrewery less than 30 seconds away from guest house. Very convenient being next to a petrol station, very quiet area. Lovely choice of breakfasts. We are already looking forward to re visiting the guesthouse Welcoming to dogs, lots of lovely family photos making it feel like staying with family.
As an older couple with mobility difficulties, we really appreciated the accessibility and facilities offered in our comfortable ground floor room. Our collie was warmly welcomed by the delightful Rosemary and he loved the sausage from our excellent breakfast. Although the charming property is conveniently situated near to the main Kendal / Windermere road, we did not hear any traffic noise whatsoever. Our new favorite hotel in the Lakes.
A very warm welcome from Rosemary and Linda who run an excellent establishment which is clean, comfortable and is well positioned for easy access to all points of interest in the Lake District. Breakfast was always top class and they did their best to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. Many Thanks. We will certainly pay them another visit and tell all our friends. A very friendly guest house, the owner and staff made us very welcome. The room was spacious clean and comfortable. There was plenty of choice for breakfast, the cooked breakfast was delicious. Dogs are made very welcome, towels are provided at the door to clean dirty paws after a day in the fells. The local pub is a 2 minute walk, they are also very dog friendly. We hope to stay again soon.
Very friendly family run B&B with a warm welcome from Rosemary and Linda. Ideally situated with great access to Windermere and all local towns. Award winning pub only 100 yards walk with great beer and food menu. Good size rooms, excellent shower facilities. Exceptionally clean throughout. Great breakfast with excellent choice. Would recommend with absolute confidence.
The room was so warm and clean- and outside it was bitterly cold. Breakfasts were beautifully cooked, and I was made to feel instantly at home. There is a most attractive country inn 200 yards away where I enjoyed excellent venison casserole. They stock and excellent range of beers. I intend to return with my wife in the near future.
Rosemary and Linda were really welcoming. We booked really late and had a 6 month in tow but were still very looked after even though it was quiet. Our room was emaculate as was the rest of the house. We had a fantastic two nights ans will definately return. Thanks ladies x.
we all loved being around with the dogs which are very friendly and safe. truly wonderful and cheerful hosts. great location being close to a pub and diner. clean and comfortable rooms. would definitely recommend it and can't wait to get back there. a very big thank you.
It is ideal for Dog lovers, though the dogs are not intrusive if you don't want to see them.Excellent room, excellent breakfast. The local pub very short walk down the lane was great for food, and I am told its own brewed beers are very good.
Rosemary the owner was very helpful with local knowledge, cooks a lovely breakfast and provides good value for money. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable with lovely views. The best b&b we have been to for a long time.
The Guest House was excellent, rooms nicely decorated, bathrooms excellent, overall clean and well-maintained. Breakfast substantial. Owners friendly. Good location, not in Windermere centre but easy to travel anywhere in the Lakes.
Kind welcome, no fuss, lovely comfortable room, plenty of space for dog bed. Felt very comfortable about taking our dog in and out - she was made very welcome too. Good breakfast. Just a nice place to stay.
Everything - the bed was the most comfortable we have slept in, other than our own. Breakfast was delicious and my selction was exactly as I requested. Superb but non intrusive advice and help.
I had a fantastic stay. Bed and pillows were super comfortable, perhaps the yes night sleep I've had in 3 weeks of travelling. Rosemary & Linda were lovely hosts. Would definitely stay again.
Ideally placed for where we wanted to be for walking and Windermere. Good pub two minutes away, and we could take the dogs, where there were no issues. A really warm welcome, spotless and tidy.

It was fuss free, friendly and very comfortable. Breakfast was great and my little two year old had a lovely time too. Perfect for access to Windermere and surrounding area.
VEry comfortable, great breakfast, friendly staff, free WiFi and free parking. Great pub down the road for dinner. She even had Vegemite for us Aussies.

Its a real struggle to think of any negatives about this guest house. Breakfast between 815 - 845 was a bit early for a holiday however for a short break it was equally convenient to ensure we were up and ready early. Not a great deal to do near the guest house, however there is a great walk listed in the room to get you started and several things a short drive away.
The wet room shower didn't drain effectively, leaving puddles that were difficult to dry.
Although the Guest House was close to the road the double glazing reduced all road noises.

Road rather noisy by the guest house, as main road into Windermere, not used to this, as live in quiet lane.But didn't spoil our stay.

The bus doesn't come by often so you need a car. With a car this place would have been great for us.
The early morning rise for breakfast 30 minutes later would be really great. Like most of the people in the guest house we normally rise even earlier but when on a break we all wanted to have a few extra minutes in bed.
