We saw some of the reviews of this hotel and were concerned about value for money. However we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were nice, the rooms were very spacey. The towels and sheets were perfect and the view was outstanding. The breakfast and service were excellent. The hotel may be a bit on the old fashion side but that was more quaint than anything else. The fabulous views over the harbour, beach and bay. THE GOOD HOT WELSH BREAKFAST THE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL STAFF [SAME STAFF SEEMED TO BE WORKING MOST OF THE WEEK END] WE HAD A GREAT TIME WITH PERFECT WEATHER AND LOVED TENBY.
所有评语 » Comfortable and generous sized bedroom with bay window and tremendous views of the beach and harbour. Friendly and helpful staff. "Traditional" design unspoilt seaside hotel - which we liked. Nice traditional pub style bar. Warm welcome, friendly staff, spotlessly clean all through the hotel. Room was old fashioned but comfortable and clean. Location is perfect overlooking the North beach and very close to the town centre. The room was spacious and clean. The view was wonderful. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was freshly cooked and tasty.The hotel had an old fashioned charm which we liked. Clean and close to amenities. Excellent breakfast that sets you up for the day. Very accessible to the beach and town. View in the sea front room was outstanding. breakfast was very good hot and filling (bacon thick and crisp with no water in it) blankets instead of the duvet fresh towels each day nice staff. the view from our room was excellent and the staff were a ll very helpful and friendly and the food was exellent. Fantastic sea views ;) great staff especially Michelle , lovey breakfast , close to beach & to shops . although the hotel was a bit dated it had the most fantastic view which you could not fault. location is everything with this hotel, 5 mins walk to the centre, overlooking the beach. The room was clean and smelt nice on entry and the staff were friendly and helpful. The view was excellent and breakfast was good. Represented great bvalue for money. friendly staff, spacious building, good breakfast, value for money, location. was across the way from devalence where we were attending a function. The over the bath shower linked to the taps, very un-stable water temperature varied during shower could be dangerous as hot water scalding! A MORE MODERN POWER SHOWER WOULD BE BETTER. APPRECIATE THIS IS A VERY OLD AND CHARACTERFUL HOTEL HOWEVER SOME UP-DATING OF BEDROOM DECOR AND A LITTLE MORE CARE WITH THE CLEANING IS NEEDED. UN-USUAL TO STAY WHERE THERE ARE SHEETS AND CELLUAR BLANKETS RATHER THAN DUVETS. NOT IDEAL!. In need of some further refurbishment - not to modernise it but just to smarten it up. Much needed repainting of the exterior began during our stay. No car parking on site. No real ale at the bar (mid-June!), and evening food not always available. No parking is a little bit of a hinderance but not a massive issue. There was a limited selection of beer in the bar. Bed wasn't comfortable at all. Rated comfort as Good because there were some nice chairs and a table that looked out to the view and all other aspects of hotel stay was comfortable - just not the bed. no complaints. Can't say there was anything specific I didn't like about the hotel , parking maybe could have been closer , but we live walking so it didn't realty matter as it was dry . nothing really to dislike the staff were very friendly and it was clean although dated. the room was a bit cold. The appearance outside the building was a bit off putting but inside more than compensated. Rooms not cleaned on one day, generally slightly tatty in appearance. parking a short walk away from hotel but not inconvenient if able bodied. Finding out that premier in is coming to Tenby. very poor tv/reception. parking nightmare,. Tenby is now a lot more commercialised no longer suitable for a quiet sea side break. No parking facilities. Small breakfast for £90 a night. Car parking. the draught coming through the old style windows, to be fair it was exceptionally windy and cold for the time of year. Nothing. Very pleased. Will come again. nothing. the lack of baked beans with breakfast. the menus in the bar needed a bit more choice on them, the rooms could have been cleaner cob webs on the wall. Décor looks quite tired. Faded worn carpets, peeling & discoloured wall paper / paint. Silicone around bath peeling and discoloured. With a bit of TLC it could be really nice!. I would call it the tired lion it desperately needs a face lift. the bar is dark needs light paint to reflect more light to make it less depressing. room 203 we were in the curtain was hanging down the L is off the royal sign outside. the beds needed new mattresses. heard another guest say it reminds me of faulty towers. Loose toilet seat. Not very well organised on arrival. Hotel in major need of renovation. Beds (need replacing ) Leaking ceiling No sky sports or wifi ... tv didnt work ,and unable to contact reception by phone in the evening. parking,food,. Looking rather dated. The decor was untidy slapdash and dated, the wash basin in the room was poorly situated (not in the bathroom) which made it inconvenient in a twin room. The showerhead was loose and made it impossible to direct to where you needed it. For the £100 we paid per night which is still expensive even at the height of the season I would not call it value for money. Breakfast was 'ok' still not what you would expect for the money. room was very tired. room not clean,cups not washed,noise of slamming doors sends you mad. The hotel needs complete redecoration the room was large but really shabby the tv didnt work correctly, and the shower did not work at all. Shabby and outdated. It's best days were decades ago.The grotty bedroom carpet hadn't been fitted properly, there was mould in the bathroom: it was more like a 1980s student bedsit with the cheapest furnishings than a £100 a night hotel. Curtains falling off, windowsills rotten: in need of refurbishment and total modernisation. No wifi, despite being advertised. Nearest parking ten minutes walk away. When letsbookhotel.com gets it wrong, it gets it very wrong. Staff luke warm and décor a bit tired. very expensive for the standard of Hotel,not able to open windows in room,room was not serviced and no adequate explanation or apology given,creaky floorboards in room, unable to move shower screen so could not get to bath taps easily,also no bath/ shower adjustment on taps,too expensive for standard of hotel. Shabby, and tired old hotel. Breakfast..economical. Draft thro old windows Very over priced..more like London prices. Tired looking. Broken shower rail. Meagre tea/coffe/sugar in room. Sash window had a piece of wood to keep it open. This is dangerous. Could be cleaner. Meagre breakfast. One mushroom finely chopped to make it look more!. Hotel does not appear to have had any upgrades since 1970. It is long overdue. Included breakfast was awful. Tired, old hotel in need of complete refurb. It needs a complete make over from top to bottom.breakfast so poor,at£100.00a night its not worth the money.i shall not go there again in a harry,.
