  the location was excellent, a brief stroll from the Thames river. the bar, restaurant and room were excellent. although we spent most of our time in the room, when coming up for air, loved it all, would highly recommend. The only dubious feature was the room name - the sleazy salmon. - Excellent food in restaurant

  Beautiful location. Value for money. All the staff I encountered were friendly & helpful- nothing was too much trouble for them; from Reception staff, Waiting staff at breakfast and staff in The Boathouse. Please pass on my thanks. Choice of fresh fruit salad, fruit juices, cereal, yoghurt, toast, croissants, and if that wasn't enough a coo - Excellent dinner and lunch. The food was piping hot, which was much appreciated and the lunch menu was adjusted to meet our personal choices and was all we could wish for. We met some Canadian cousins for the first time and it was a wonderful spot to meet up for lunch on the side of the Thames with them.   As walkers, we loved arriving at YHA Streatley to find it warm, comfortable, and the staff efficient and friendly. After walking for hours in heavy rain, we really appreciated the drying room where we were able to dry out all our gear over night. - staff friendly and helpful.
