Children are especially well catered for, as they have every imaginable farm animal in the fields near the house, plus dogs, rabbits, a ferret and certainly one or two I've missed.   My husband and I stayed in the black pearl room for 2 days for a mid week break. We arrived in the morning and took a chance that our room would be ready, to our delight it had just been cleaned. Didn't actually occupy a room in the pub but the exterior accommodation in a converted annex was very comfortable. Enjoyed the company of the friendly locals in the pub. Food was excellent and the manager and staff were very friendly.
