  The staff were very helpful and attentive . Our room was clean and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was excellent. It was nice to have a comfortable place to sit and chat with friends and a lovely garden to sit in too. We thoroughly enjoyed our nights stay at the hotel.   Great people! They are very attentive to both the B&B and to their guests. This was our first stay at a B&B. I was soo excited to see how clean and neat everything was and our room, The Avalon House B & B was, everything I was hoping for and more. When we couldn't make breakfast on our last day (which was really sad because breakfas... 别人怎么说 » t was AMAZING), the manager packed us a delicious, nutritious breakfast to go. The personal touches were everything. You can't go wrong with The Ava - Manager went over and above to make us feel welcome - we were in St Albans for the half marathon and he was more than happy to let us use the room again after check out time to shower after the race, which was very much appreciated.

  Location was excellent - right by the M25 but by an old water mill and very scenic. Rooms were a very good size and the beds were as good as home. Also liked little details like the shower curtain on a curve to make it seem more spacious.
