There's a lodge more or less at the end of the drive that does lovely food and you can drink the night away there and talk to the locals while they spin you a story or two! Followed by a sing song! We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay in the self catering cottage. With 2 bedrooms, one with a double and single upstairs and another downstairs with a bunk bed set, this cottage easily accommodates a family or group of 5 people. It has a kitchen and a living/ dining area with a table that 4 can comfortably sit at for meals. The Londis grocery store is an easy 5 minute walk away and if you prefer a meal out

  For a chain, it's well done and as personal as a chain can get. The staff was really friendly and helpful and even let us check in a bit early. The biggest asset of the hotel is it's staff in particular the reception staff who are the first point of contact and have to deal - Staff were nice and friendly. I arrived extremely tired. When I asked about dinner, the options were explained to me and then the receptionist said I could have dinner in my room if I preferred, which sounded great. Food was good quality, if a little small in portion size and quite expensive. I also took part in an all day conference the next day. The food was very tasty then too. Staff participated in the surprise and we had a lovely evening/night at the hotel. The hotel is very old however, I was pleasantly surprised how clean everything was.
