  We were very impressed with everything from the moment we arrived. The food was that delicious we decided to dine in the Restaurant on every night of our stay(four nights). The bedrooms were spacious, extremely comfortable with all the touches you'd - The hotel is situated right in the middle of one of the most iconic Georgian buildings in the UK. The decor of the hotel is certainly in keeping with the grandeur of its location and the spa and restaurant were faultless. The service provided by the staff was impeccable - which is a first in my experience! All the staff were warm and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

  Friendly folk running the inn. The atmosphere was relaxed, easy going chique and thoughtful. Our bedroom & ensuite was cosy clean and the bed was comfy- lovely decor; so far removed from the buildings original use as a stable/ skittle alley! I'm sure it could tell some tales! Beautiful room, with nothing missing - excellent bar - fantastic food - both dinner and breakfast outstanding. Friendly locals. Ideal for us, far enough away from Taunton to be on our own but close enough for a short drive to the cricket. If you're coming to watch Somerset or for the ECB youth programme at Kings - consider staying here.

  The room was superb, light and airy with nice furnishings. Plenty of tea and coffee and a fridge in the hall if we needed fresh milk etc. The staff were there if needed and very helpful and friendly.   The welcome at the end of a busy day was superb, I needed to use my laptop and sat in the lounge with 'free' internet and fresh cream scone brought to me, faboulous!! Dinner was to a very high standard. I also needed to leave early the next morning before breakfast began, my host made sure I didnt leave with out and cooked early for me.
