  Excellent customer service from the minute of entering right through to leaving. Nothing was too much for them. Everywhere you went it was clean.   The staff were extremely helpful, the check in process was fast and efficient. The room was warm and comfortable. The Staff at the May Tree Restaurant next door were equally pleasant and efficient, and the restaurant had a good family atmposhere.   This hotel is a little gem. The rooms are stylish, comfortable and well- equipped. The restaurant was excellent and the lounges welcoming. But it's the staff that makes this place special.   I was half expecting a noisy room over a bar, but I was very wrong! The accommodation is housed in a discreet and newly built wing. The room was enormous and beautifully designed and fitted to a very high standard. The room I had looks much better than the one they use on their site, so reality far exceeded expectations. Arrived here to friendly reception at about 11.30pm with drinks brought to room. Rooms were smart, breakfast enjoyable, dining area had outside terrace with views and location was absolutely perfect for our travel plans. Would recommend to anyone doing what we did.

The complex is clearly still developing and promises to be a truly beautiful - The hotel is set a long way off the road with lovely grounds. The rooms look as if they are chalet style, each with a balcony, and inside the open plan bathroom/shower is a nice touch and makes the room even more spacious. Bed was very comfortable. Room exceptionally clean and well presented. The food in the restaurant was superb and the waiting staff professional and friendly. The pool, steam room and sauna all very well done in the spa - great for a relaxing couple of days.

The hotel is in beautiful surroundings and was so quiet, particularly at night allowing for a good night's sleep.   St Mellion is a superb place to stay. The rooms are quite spacious and comfortable with in-room tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Spa looked great, would have loved to have spent more time there. The place was apparently full, I sore about 6 guests during my short stay and heard no one - very quiet. Beautiful surrounds.
