  The Swimming pool was nice, the staff was extremely friendly and any inconveniences were met with generous offers and gifts to apologize. The breakfast was amazing and not extremely expensive.   Great value for money (when booked through this site and on weekends). Modern decor and still very cozy and welcoming. Helpful, friendly staff.   I like this hotel, it has character, nooks and crannies and its a nice place to be. The food was great and there was loads of it. I was surprised the restaurant wasn't busier than it actually was. How often do you see quality food and quality portions.   I chose Elm Lodge Guest House for my family and best friends to come to stay for 3 nights for my wedding, and I stayed there myself for one night. I booked the whole of the 3 bedrooms.
