  The Swimming pool was nice, the staff was extremely friendly and any inconveniences were met with generous offers and gifts to apologize. The breakfast was amazing and not extremely expensive. (we were forced to move room and got some nice sweets and nuts and a bottle of nice wine in return).   Great value for money (when booked through this site and on weekends). Modern decor and still very cozy and welcoming. Helpful, friendly staff.   I chose Elm Lodge Guest House for my family and best friends to come to stay for 3 nights for my wedding, and I stayed there myself for one night. I booked the whole of the 3 bedrooms. I loved everything - Andy had a very warm welcome for us, and added a very special touch to my parents and friends', and my own stay. On the night before the wedding he gave us a bottle of champagne, - Our studio apartment was so lovely we wanted to move in! Large rooms are in a lovely Victorian house. Breakfast around a large table in the dining room which was great, all the guests were in conversation as we were served a lovely breakfast. Large garden, nice area of city.Andy and his son were so friendly and welcoming. Stay here!
