everything,from the warm welcome,taking care of our bags,being close to town,lovely room,nice and clean, comfy beds,brilliant breakfast,and secure place to keep our luggage so we could squeeze every last minute out of our holiday,and only five minute walk from railway station, and only a few feet away from the entrance to the medieval walls....altogether a brilliant place, a added bonus we loved was all the fun plaques outside each bedroom,it brought history alive.

Bar Convent is lovely. It's cheap, clean, safe, quiet, comfortable, welcoming and convenient for central York.
It isn't luxurious, but you don't choose to stay in a working convent if you want luxury. Everything you need is there and more, including a huge garden which is a big plus in York city centre.

Very comfortable, clean and modern apartment within easy walking distance to York centre. Friendly and helpful host. Small things that make our stay more like home such as paper towels, olive oil for cooking and summer weight quilt on the bed were much appreciated. it was new years eve .we shopped ate and went into town for the local night life.we visited the museum and skating rink and had a wonderful time - The place was clean and comftable and is situated in a quite road but still close to the town centre
