Delightful B&B. Homely, very clean and well kept, right on main high street near shops, with a variety of bars/cafes/coffee shops and restaurants to choose from for lunches and evening meals. Location couldn't have been better with everything within easy walking distance. Our room was at the front of the house, and we were surprised how large it was and how comfortable. We had a wonderful and most memorable stay at Kirkwood Guest House. Firstly Mags and Boys were fabulous hosts and Boyd was incredibly helpful with giving us advice and highly detailed directions to the area which he knows incredibly well. The location of Kirkwood couldn't be better - 5 minutes walk to both Windermere and Bowness-on-Windemere where there are plenty of good restaurants to choose from and delightful and quaint shops to explore.

This was a lovely B&B with very welcoming, courteous owners. Breakfast was exceptional, as was the value. The view from our room was stunning. A very short taxi in to Bowness made it a great location, close to restaurants but in a peaceful setting. I would stay there again without hesitation. -

It's the best place I have stayed ever. Very kind and thoughtful staff. We brought our 1.5 years old for a leisure weekend. When we arrived the room, toys and a trolley have been prepared for her. The breakfast was wonderful. My wife and my daughter were really happy during the stay. Best place ever!
