This is a B&B we will return to. At a perfect spot in “Edinburgh new town”, in the middle of shopping and restaurant areas. The building originally from early 19th century is well preserved and nicely taken to the 21st. The top floor stairs is old and torn but so full of charms. Nice rooms in harmony with building, furniture and facilities. Run by friendly owners and an adorable old cat watching the lounge. Good WI-FI. Breakfast is served at neighbouring Rick’s Hotel, really good.

This hotel has impressed me: 1st, the host (Marion) makes you feel at home and gives you useful instructions and tips. Then, the room was spacious, confortable and clean. When we arrived the introduction/explanation of services etc was good with clear, simple explanation of what to do and where things were. The 'owners' were very welcoming.
Brown's was very clean; there was good provision of every day items, teas, coffees and toiletries.
Breakfast was also good with a good range of items.
No critique at all.
